In September, our family took a vacation down to see Grandma and Grandpa. Here are our cute kids at their house before we left them for 2 days, which is the longest we have ever been apart. They had the best time without us and Grandma said they didn't even ask for us :(
Paul and I had a nice relaxing kid-free time in San Diego. This is a pic from our Seafood restaurant, where we sat by the window. We were literally right over the water and about $100 poorer, but it was sure yummy :)
Our hotel had a hammock out back, so when the kids came to join us we took them on the "swing"

Colin, who is at the best age right now, was having the time of his life! He loved all the water, birds, cars, boats, birds, and airplanes, since we were real close to the airport. He could say all those words and was pointing at everything!

We also took the kids to the beach at the Coronado Hotel, my favorite. The sand there is so incredibly soft expecially compared to the rest of California. It's been a long time since we took Cali to the beach and this was Colin's first time!

We got her a "baking" sand set and she made us all sorts of yummy things!

Meanwhile, Cali and Brynn played and played until they got recruited to make some yummy Cinnamon rolls with red sprinkles as the sugar! Mmmm! They were delicious!
A well needed, best vacation in a loong time :) Thanks for all the fun guys! We look froward to coming back again soon! Cali almost 4, Colin 15 months

Cami, they are getting so big. They are so adorable. I am glad that you are getting some alone time. I bet your parents had a grand time having them for a few days.
